I’m feeling the need for some comic relief. I’ve been known to pull out some killer dance moves . . . hopefully no one was recording! :)

Such a handsome little guy! Especially since 4 months old can be a difficult time for photographs.
no longer a newborn . . . not quite sitting up . . . usually teething
But what personality! I think we were able to capture his tough guy side, his serious look and that big slobbery smile!

When Katie called me wanting newborn pictures of her 4 week old daughter I’m not gonna lie, I was skeptical. And by skeptical, I mean scared! I almost always shoot a newborn session before they are 2 weeks old, when a baby sleeps the most and is still able to get into those ‘Gumby’ bendy poses we all love. As Katie was telling me about how they were in the middle of a move and closing on a new house all with a newborn baby and trying to recover from a c-section! And how she really just wanted to capture her daughter before she got any bigger. I knew I had to do my very best to get these new parents some awesome shots of their pretty princess.
Little miss Madison took her time checking the studio out, making herself comfortable, but eventually fell fast asleep!

I’m excited to be shooting this cute little girl two more times in the next year! It’s so exciting to be able to watch kids grow and see how much they change!

With the fall portrait session basically knocking on the front door, I wanted to address the number 1 question I get from clients as they are planning for that yearly Christmas card photo.
What should my kids wear for their session?
It is definitely the most thought about part of any mother planning to have their children’s pictures taken. Well I’m here to help all you mother’s out!
Have you heard of Matilda Jane? Do you l.o.v.e their clothes, but don’t know where to get them?
Well now you do!
I‘m having a trunk show!
Why you ask would the mother of 3 boys have a Matilda Jane trunk show?
Well I’ll tell you. One, it lets me get a little girl fix! Seeing all these adorable clothes makes me a little envious of how limited little boys are! Plus, it is a fun night of having my neighbors, friends, clients and strangers over to my home. I get to meet new people and get to know those I have met better!
Let me tell you these clothes are adorable! Their fall line certainly doesn’t disappoint! They are well made and look so cute on! Perfect for back to school, Christmas presents and of course portraits!
